Under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission (JNNURM) scheme, people of Hyderabad, Visakhapatanam, Vijayawada and Tirupati will get 737 low-floor, semi low-floor buses of different kinds. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is going to launch the low-floor buses.

APSRTC to collect toll fee from its passengers
The Andhra Pradesh government has permitted its Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to enhance the toll plaza user fee being collected from bus passengers on national highways with immediate effect. The Corporation will now collect Rs 4 from passengers of Pallevelugu and Express buses; Rs 5 from Deluxe and Super Luxury, Indra and Garuda buses; and Rs 6 from Garuda Plus (Multi Axle) and Vennela passengers with immediate effect, it is learnt.
