A three-day workshop on National Convention on Innovations in Green Highways has been inaugurated in the capital. Interest subvention to continue to government banks
The Union Cabinet on August 2 approved continuation of the interest subvention scheme to provide short-term crop loans to farmers in order to ensure the availability of crop loans at affordable rates to farmers for loans upto Rs 3 lakh at the rate of 7 per cent per annum. Hit by frequent and unscheduled power cuts, farmers in the state are showing interest in alternative sources of energy to power their irrigation pumpsets (IP sets).
Noida farmers agree to give land for 8-lane link road
Greater Noida Authority has said that farmers of Devla and Khodna Khurd villages have agreed to part with their land for the eight-lane Noida-Greater Noida link road. The Authority said that the 130 m link road will be ready by July. The Authority will soon begin taking over the land whose acquisition was quashed by Allahabad high court on October 21, 2011.
