The union ministry of coal circulated 17 coal blocks for allocation to government companies out of which 14 are for specified end-use power and three coal blocks are earmarked for purpose of mining. These blocks would be allotted for eligible companies as per the ĆāAuction by Competitive Bidding of Coal Mines Amendment Rules, 2012
