The Public Works Department (PWD) of Punjab has appointed Consulting Engineering Services (CES), New Delhi to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) of proposed four-laning of 82 km Ropar-Nawanshahr-Phagwara, which will submit its report in two months to the department.

Punjab to build 14 more ROBs/RUBs at 318 cr
To improve road connectivity in Punjab through building railways over/under bridges, the State government has set aside Rs 318 crore. The government has planned to build a total of 14 ROBs and RUBs with the sum. Work on 9 under construction ROBs/RUBs are already set to be completed and they would be dedicated to the people of Punjab in next two months.
State govts clear Rs 200 bn expressway project
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister CP Joshi informed media persons that Delhi, Punjab and Haryana governments agreed to construct a 357 km Delhi-Ludhiana Expressway at an investment of Rs 20,000 crore. Board clears port project in Ludhiana
