Rlys to rope in contractor for LNG locomotive project
In an attempt to reduce the operating cost of locomotives, Indian Railways plans to set up a locomotive prototype equipped with a single gas turbine operating on LNG. For this purpose, the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO), which is the research arm of Indian Railways, sought application from interested contractors who could develop such a locomotive
