Govt may limit premium airline seats
The Union government is likely to limit the number of seats that an Indian carrier can sell to passengers through pre-booking for a fee to 15 per cent to 20 per cent of the aircraft capacity. The aviation ministry is planning to ask airlines to limit this to the front and emergency row seats that have more legroom and the window and aisle seats of the second to fifth or sixth row.

Govt employs 5 experts for cost-cutting measures in AI

Norms to be relaxed for road developers in Naxal-hit areas
The Union government has decided to relax norms for road developers in extremist-hit states such as Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in view of security threat and slow execution of projects in these areas, an official said. The development follows completion of barely 2,300 km of roads in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas till date out of proposed 5,477 km till 2012.

Govt encourages solar plants in Delhi colonies

Centre announces 3rd manufacturing zone for AP
The Union government on May 25 promised to approve a third National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) for Andhra Pradesh. The Union government on May 23 approved the 4-laning of Dimapur-Kohima National Highway in Nagaland at a total cost of Rs 1,089.87 crore. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the implementation of the project of 4-laning of the Dimapur-Kohima section from 124.1 km to 172.9 km of NH-39, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said in Delhi. This project is under the special Accelerated Road Development Programme (SARDP-NE) in North Eastern Region, he said.
