The Mokokchung district administration in Nagaland has approved an alternative road from Mokokchung to Dimapur which would pass through Mangmetong village in Mokokchung district, Sanis in Wokha district and to Dimapur. The project was approved in the monthly meeting of Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board held on June 7.
The Executive Engineer (R & B), Mokokchung mentioned that the new alignment road would be only 140 to 145 km from Mokokchung to Dimapur. The house discussed agendas on maintaining of 20 km road (circular road) at Tuli Town, Project on Naga Literature Development and Financial Grant from Common pool and Grant-in-aid for Middle School which the house approved and recommended to the authorities concerned.
