Cement manufacturer Sanghi Industries has said it will invest Rs 250 crore over the next couple of years for developing waste heat recovery system and facilities at Navlakhi Port in Gujarat. It will be investing Rs 150 crore for developing 15 MW waste heat recovery system (WHRS) and another Rs 100 crore to further develop its facilities at Navlakhi Port in Gujarat, the company said in a press release.
´Our focus is on increasing efficiencies at our manufacturing facilities as well as reducing our carbon footprint by cutting down on pollutants that affect the environment,´ company´s Director Alok Sanghi said.
It has signed a contract for installing the system at its cement plant in Kutch, Gujarat whereby 15 MW power will be generated from waste. The company has already set up a terminal with an investment of Rs 50 crore at Navlakhi Port.
