India will displace the United Kingdom to become the world´s third largest aviation market by 2026, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has said. IATA, which represents some 265 airlines comprising 83 per cent of global air traffic, expects 7.2 billion passengers to travel in 2035, which is a near doubling of the 3.8 billion air passengers who travelled in 2016.
