Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Roads and Buildings (R&B) Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo On March 20 told the State Assembly that 92 road projects are presently under execution in Bhalesa and Baderwah blocks as well as the road projects are underway in Charal and Basnoot areas of Badherwah constituency.

Sadbhav bags Rs 382-cr NHAI order in TN
For widening of an 80-km stretch of NH-210 in Tamil Nadu, Sadbhav Engineering on March 20 stated that it has bagged a Rs 382-crore order from NHAI. The company has been declared the successful bidder in respect of the bid invited by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the Ahmedabad-based firm said in a BSE filing.
Road Ministry seeks nod for Rs 500 cr small projects
In the fourth phase of the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP), the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has sought permission to clear projects costing up to Rs 500 crore in an attempt to expedite investments. At present, all road projects are cleared by inter-ministerial committees, which the Ministry says causes delay.
Petitioners to move SC on Kundapur-Hejamady NH widening
In Karnataka, about 63 persons who will lose land to NH 66 widening project along Kundapur and Hejamady stretch are planning to move the Supreme Court before April 15 after HC quashed their petitions. They had sought in the State high court to give direction to restrict the width of NH66 to 45 metre as in the case of Dakshina Kannada district instead of the proposed 60 metre and NHAI to acquire land only to that extend.
Mysore residents face inconvenience due to road work
Adichunchanagiri road in Kuvempunagar of Mysore is being widened. Mysore's urban development body, MUDA launched the works a year back. While a part of the road is widened and asphalted, some 70 per cent of the road that is widened is not asphalted though MUDA commissioner's official residence is located on the stretch.
Jaipur citizens to ride Metro train by June
Rajasthan has claimed that its capital Jaipur will see the Metro running this June itself. It claimed that the Metro had been constructed in a record time of less than two and half years thanks to the support from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
