An 18 meter wide road will be constructed in Kiwale in Pimpri Chinchwad city at an expenditure of Rs 2.21 crore by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). A proposal seeking approval for the work will be tabled before the standing committee meeting to be held on November 20, said Makrand Nikam, Executive Engineer, PCMC.

Rajasthan to get nod for Rs 4,355 cr road project
For Rajasthan, the Union Government is likely to approve a Rs 4,355 crore project for construction of 1,300 km roads, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways C P Joshi said on November 18. The construction of 1,869-km long roads in the state was completed at a cost of Rs 12,000 crore and work on an additional 1,243-km is underway, he said at a function in Jaipur.

Work to restart soon on Trichy’s road overbridge
Construction of the road overbridge across the railway level-crossing on the Oyamari road in Tiruchirapalli city, which had come to a halt over the past few months, is set to resume soon. Pune division seeks Rs 2,500 cr for road development
To develop a road network of 24,569 km in Pune division comprising Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur districts the Pune Divisional Commissionerate has sought Rs 2,500 crore from the Centre and the State governments.
