For Haryana, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has extended a loan of Rs 238.65 crore for 21 rural road projects and 14 rural drinking water supply schemes under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)ĂâXIX. According to NABARD, an amount of Rs 221.53 crore has been sanctioned for widening and strengthening of 191.955 km length of rural roads in eight districts like Faridabad, Fatehabad, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Rewari, Rohtak and Yamunanagar in Haryana.

Nagpur civic body ignores to repair bad roads
Public and motorists in Nagpur complain that the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is not repairing bad roads but concentrating to mend the roads that are in good condition. The civic body pressed its jetpatcher pothole repair machine into service to repair the road connecting Raj Nagar (Raja Ram temple) to Chhindwara road, which was found to be not so bad. Taxpayers said this has exposed how the NMC authorities ignored the bad roads and the travails of common man on them.
Gujarat gets about Rs 1000 cr for rural road project
The Union government has cleared about Rs 1,000 crore for Gujarat to take up rural road works. Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has conveyed this to the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi that the Centre has sanctioned Rs 970 crore to the state for building 919 rural roads. The State government will have to spend about Rs 22 crore as a matching expenditure.
Hyderabads St Anns-Uppal road to be repaired at Rs 2 cr
In Hyderabad, the rain-battered road between St AnnĂâs School (Secunderabad) and Uppal junction will be repaired by spending Rs 2 crore, the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) has stated. HMR Managing Director NVS. Reddy has asked engineers of the Roads & Buildings Department of HMR to immediately take up the required repairs. HMR owns the road.
