For the proposed Mumbai-Bangalore industrial corridor, request for qualification and request for proposals (RFQ and RFP) have been invited from consulting firms. The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Corporation (DMICC) has invited the RFQ and RFP. DMICC will shortlist the firms by December-end.

Delhi’s NH-24 to be 14-laned for Meerut e’way
Work on the proposed Delhi-Meerut expressway from Nizamuddin Bridge on Ring Road will be started by the Road Transport and Highways Department. This is one of the three expressway projects that the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) is monitoring with the target of awarding work in this financial year.
Rs one crore for Thane-Belapur road maintenance
For the annual maintenance of the 13-km-long Thane-Belapur road, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is planning to appoint two contractors. The NMMC is to spend around Rs 1 crore for the annual maintenance of the road.
Villagers to give land for road in West Bengal
For four-laning of NH31D road project, over 150 families near Jalpaiguri town have come forward voluntarily to give their plots to the National Highways Authority of India. The road project has not taken off because of land acquisition protests. It is a key road project in north Bengal.

Highway in Blore becomes a threat to flying school
Media reports say that the elevated highway being constructed on Bellary road in Bangalore has become a threat to the Jakkur Government Flying Training School. The 30-feet high highway comes in the way of take-off and landing aircraft at the School.
NHAI to widen highway from Mlore-Karkala
The National Highway 169 between Mangalore and Karkala via Moodbidri will be widened by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). NHAI has proposed to widen the stretch between Mangalore (from Kulashekara) and Moodbidri into a four-lane road and the stretch between Moodbidri and Karkala as two-lane road, say media reports.
Road repairs in Navi Mumbai to be paced up
Navi Mumbai Mayor Sagar Naik has asked the officials concerned to expedite the road repair works in the city areas including Belapur. Residents had expressed their anger over the delay in the road repair works, despite the end of the rainy season.
Lucknow’s Lohia Path to become widest road in UP
In Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) is all set to give Lohia Path another face-lift by proposing an additional flyover between PICUP and Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. The State government has taken up widening of the Lohia Path, which is said to be the ruling party Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Rs 158.28 lakh for roads, divider works in Varanasi
For construction of four main roads, repairing of road dividers and inter-locking works in Varanasi, a fund of Rs 158.28 lakh had been approved from infrastructure fund of UP Awas and Vikas Parishad on November 17.
