For residents of MG Road, DLF Phase II and III in Gurgaon, the Rapid Metro will become a boon. It will also add sheen to the commercial properties in DLF Cyber City. Cushman and Wakefield says that since the start of construction of Rapid Metro in 2010, the residential properties on MG Road, DLF Phase II and III witnessed an appreciation between 35 per cent and over 100 per cent.

Coimbatore civic body to restore 170 km of roads
The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation is to carry out restoration work on 169.1 km of roads across 60 wards in old corporation limits that were dug up as part of laying underground drainage pipelines under the JNNURM project since 2010.
Pune-Mumbai h’way stretch to be made a 4-laner
On the busy old Pune-Mumbai Highway, road widening work of an accident-prone narrow stretch from Nigdi to Dehu Road is expected to start soon. The road widening work was stalled since 2006 which caused extreme inconvenience to commuters.
Ennore-Manali road work delayed in Chennai
In Chennai, the Rs 600 crore Ennore Manali Road Improvement Project (EMÂRIP) would miss the DeceÂmber deadline for its completion due to some hindrances. EMRIP was proposed in 1998, which envisages improvement of about 30 km road network in North Chennai to ease flow of truck traffic from CheÂnnai and Ennore ports and improve road connectivity between ports to national highway network.
Illegal structures removed along Mumbai-Agra h’way
The Nashik Municipal Corporation's (NMC) anti-encroachment department has removed illegal structures on the Mumbai-Agra highway on November 14. Food and tea stalls, and other illegal structures along the highway were removed by the civic body with the help of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the city police.
Jalandhar-Amritsar highway to be widened at Rs 524 cr
For widening of Jalandhar-Amritsar section of National Highway in Punjab, the Union government on November 13 approved Rs 523.85 crore. The highway project will be taken up under the flagship road building programme, National Highways Development Project (NHDP) of the Union government.
Upgradation of Sabarimala roads into highways at 76.55 cr
Kerala Public Works Minister VK Ebrahim Kunju has stated that the Union Public Works Department will renovate 11 more roads which connect Sabarimala at an estimated cost of Rs 76.55 crore. Sabarimala is a renowned temple town of Lord Ayyappa.
No bidders for Agra-Lucknow Expressway
For the proposed 270-km expressway between Agra and Lucknow no road developers have come forward. The Expressway project is a pet project of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The proposed express way is an eight-lane Greenfield project.
NHAI revives Mangalore ring road plan
In Mangalore, a five-year-old proposal to widen the 90-km stretch from Mulki to Thokkottu via Kateel, Bajpe, Polali, BC Road and Mudipu has been revived. According to a top official of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), this proposal is now before the Authority for preparing a feasibility report.
Proposal to expand 5 km stretch of Kanpur’s GT Road
It is proposed to convert a five kilometre stretch between 414 km and 419 km of GT Road of Kanpur from the present two lane to four lane road. The district administration of Kanpur Nagar on November 13 sent a proposal in this regard to the Union Road Transport and National Highway Ministry.
