Ten road works worth Rs 150 crore have been approved in Nashik city by the Nashik Municipal Corporation on October 29. The proposals include development of the inner ring road in the city from Nilgiri Bag to Agartakali Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to Saikheda road at a cost of Rs 8.76 crore.

Eight-lane road to link Bidar, Chamarajnagar
To execute the 'Kalyana Patha' road project, the Karnataka government has appointed the Karnataka Road Development Corporation (KRDCL) as the nodal agency. The project aims to develop industries, colonies, small towns along the Chamarajanagar-Bidar 850-km stretch. The project has been named as Kalyana Patha road project.

Gurgaon e-way toll up by Rs 60 lakh a month: NHAI

Banks go slow in lending loans to highway projects
Banks are slow and cautious while lending to road developers whereas the Union government is very keen on expediting road projects on a priority basis to revive growth. In the first half of the current financial year, banks have lent a total of Rs 550 crore to only five road projects.
