Rs 1.37 billion worth of construction work was sanctioned by Raman Singh, Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh at Barsoor, Dantewada district. Under different schemes, Rs 0.11 billion worth materials and assistance under the Central and State Government public welfare oriented schemes were handed over the beneficiaries, including 110 seat Pota-Cabin boys and girls hostel building construction in 11 villages, modern equipment in sub-health centres and CT-scan machine in district hospitals, etc. While under DMF, SCA, NMDA head bridges, road and other construction works will be done at Janpad Panchayat Geedham, Dantewada, Kuwakonda and Katekalyan, in the farming sector funds for bio-fertilisers, vermi-compost tanks in villages, 17 solar hand pumps, three solar light plants have been sanctioned.
