Indian and foreign cos keen on MTHL

Prospective consortiums involving more than 50 companies, Indian and international, showed up for the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) project pre-qualification-bid meeting. They appreciated the way MMRDA has been showcasing and addressing the all critical MTHL.The meeting, chaired by Rahul Asthana, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA, was held for interested players to raise their queries and or to make suggestions as far as the MTHL project is concerned. While the representatives of a few companies asked for relaxation of certain criteria, few others insisted that the criteria be only stringent as the project involves high level technical expertise.

Also present on the occasion were Ashwini Bhide, Assistant Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA; SM Sabnis, Chief Engineer, MMRDA; VN Ghanekar, Superintending Engineer, MMRDA; Ajay Saxena, PPP expert; and Santosh Kamath, Sanjay Saha and Khatu who represented Consultant consortium Arup/CES/KPMG.

The participating companies included Italian Thai, HCC, L&T, Reliance Infra, Simplex Infrastructure, Essar, Samsung, Welspun, IRB, Navayuga Engineering, Sreeram Urban Infra, Trial Roads, Gammon Infra, IL&FS, Allianace Integrated Metaliks and Concept.
