GIL witnessed participation from over 150 CXOs across various industry verticals and Frost & Sullivan consultants/thought leaders guided them through the Journey to Visionary Innovation with thought provoking sessions and solution/tool-based interactive workshops.
Frost & Sullivan’s global flagship event, the Global Community of Growth, Innovation and Leadership (GIL), which is conducted across 14 countries around the globe, concluded its ‘Journey to Visionary Innovation’ in India, held on 9 October 2012. Over 150 CXOs from across various industry verticals witnessed Frost & Sullivan consultants/thought leaders guiding them through the Journey to Visionary Innovation with thought provoking sessions and solution/tool-based interactive workshops.
The day began with a keynote presentation by Aroop Zutshi, Global President and Managing Partner, Frost & Sullivan, who set the stage by sharing his in¡sights on "The Journey to Visionary Innovation" followed by a workshop that used Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Diagnostic tool to measure their future growth potential. In his keynote speech, he highlighted the significance of leveraging innovation to survive in the future business environment. Where innovation comes from, how to nurture it, what do companies need to do today, were some of the key questions he addressed through his session.
Anand S, Research Director, Technical Insights Group – Frost & Sullivan, supported the vision and need for an environment of innovation shared by Aroop, by sharing the top 50 technologies and innovations that will reshape our world in the future. The thought provoking presentation "TechVision 2020" gave an in¡sight into how top emerging and innovative technologies will impact industries, strategies and business decisions in India.
The top emerging technologies revealed at the congress were across the following clusters – sensors and control, sustainable energy, clean and green technology, information and communications technology, microelectronics, materials and coatings, health and wellness, medical devices and imaging technology and advanced manufacturing and automation.
Frost & Sullivan Partner, Sarwant Singh’s New Mega Trends Presentation and the Industry Convergence Workshop provided ideas and real insight on the mega forces that are driving convergence and ideas for how to use this to seize white space market opportunities. Best practices were shared for companies to navigate their path and identify a course of action.
The last and the final workshop for the evening focused on Implementation Excellence. The workshop, facilitated by VG Ramakrishnan, Managing Director, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia, provided a hands-on experience in exploring the critical growth processes while applying tools in a real-time exercise to validate and benchmark companies existing strategies against best practice implementation.
Awards
At GIL, Frost & Sullivan recognised industry visionaries, innovators and leaders through its 2012 Growth Excellence Awards. The award recipients were recognised across healthcare, measurement & instrumentation, technology and transportation & logistics space. These were based on detailed best practices research conducted by Frost & Sullivan across these segments in the year 2012.
