Shriram EPC has bagged contracts worth over Rs.430 crore. Of this, it had received a road contract worth Rs.301.05 crore from Chhattisgarh for executing road works of 50 km under the NHDP-IV on EPC to be completed over 24 months
Jharkhand govt takes up repairs on NH-33
The Jharkhand government has finally acted and taken up the repair of the busy and important National Highway-33 in the state, which is dotted with potholes. Prolonged protests have been demanding repair of the highway. Road construction agency Madhucom Projects resumed work on the road on October 22.
Jharkhand gets RBI license for co-op bank
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has permitted Jharkhand government to have its cooperative bank, 'Jharkhand State Co-operative Bank' after the State's 12 year struggle. RBI handed over the license for setting up the cooperative bank to the State Cooperative Minister Haji Hussain on August 26 in Ranchi, the state's capital.
Jharkhand to construct 5 bypass roads at Rs 2,000 cr
The Jharkhand government is to spend Rs 2,297 crore for construction of roads in the state. The State Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given his assent to this proposal. With the sum, about 500 km length of five bypass roads will be constructed. The road projects will be funded the Asian Development Bank, say media reports.
Jamshedpur’s key road project to begin on PPP model
In Jharkhand's Jamshedpur, the Eastern Road Corridor Project would soon begin on a public private partnership (PPP) with Jharkhand government and Tata Steel as participants. The State Chief Secretary RS Sharma, who chaired a high-level meeting comprising officials from both the State government and Tata Steel major in Ranchi, said the project should start soon in the industrial city to ease traffic with Ranchi and other neighbouring states, the release said quoting him.
