IL&FS Transportation Networks has stated that the company has submitted a bid with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for six-laning of Barwa-Adda-Panagarh Section of NII-2 from km 398.240 to km 521.120 including Panagarh Bypass in Jharkhand and West Bengal under NHDP Phase V to be executed on DBFOT basis.

Adhunik Power & Natural Resources has declared commercial operation of its first unit of 270 MW of 2x270 MW thermal power plant on January 21. The company is setting up two units of 270 MW coal based thermal power plant at village Padampur in Jharkhand in first stage of its project. The first unit of 2x270 MW was synchronised on November 13, 2012 and the commercial operation has been declared on January 21, 2013.

Nod to Rs 5,652 cr road projects in Bihar,J’khand, Odisha
Two highway projects for widening of roads in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha have been approved by the Union government at an expenditure of Rs 5,652.03 crore. The projects approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) included Rs 2,015.60 crore scheme for widening of Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section in Bihar and Rs 3636.43 crore project for Baharagora-Sambalpur stretch in Odisha and Jharkhand, an official statement said.
Jharkhand CM inaugurates Ranchi-Patratu road
Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the Ranchi-Patratu road on November 21. The 35.27 km road is constructed at a cost of Rs 203 crore. The road passes through Patratu valley and around 16.6 km of the project is four-lane and the rest is two lane. The road has 10 high mast lights and six bus bays.
Ranchi airport terminal is in need of approach road
In Jharkhand, the Rs 138-crore airport terminal building in Ranchi is ready and awaits its inauguration. Union Defence Minister AK Antony will take a final call on construction of a 1km approach road to the new world-class integrated terminal building of the Ranchi airport. Airports Authority of India (AAI) officials had earlier planned to inaugurate the building soon after Diwali.
