India imports Afghan dry fruits via Iran port
Through the Chabahar port in Iran, India has directly received its first batch of commodities-20 containers of Afghan dry fruits-from Afghanistan. The consignment arrived in Mumbai on ships over the last weekend. This was a success of cooperation between India, Iran and Afghanistan. The sea route is an alternative to the Karachi port in Pakistan.
Mumbai to have first branch of Bharatiya Mahila Bank
Mumbai's Nariman Point, the city's premier business district, is to have India's first bank exclusively for women by next November. The firm is planning expansion of the metro line. Once it started, the Mumbai Metro rail can accommodate seven lakh passengers a day.

Mumbai's 652 newly-constructed roads have only 52 potholes, SGS India private Ltd, a Switzerland - based third party auditor, has stated in its report submitted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. According to the report, it found only 52 potholes, which disturbed just a fraction — 0.028 per cent — of the total area of roads built by contractors under its supervision.

Moily says gas price hike key for tapping new reserves
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Marpadi Veerappa Moily has said that due to the increase in gas price, new hydrocarbon blocks in Tripura and Cauvery basin will become commercially viable.
