Commercial operations at the Chabahar port are expected to start in the 18-24 months, which will provide India increased connectivity to Russia and North Baltic countries, among others, Minister of State for Shipping P Radhakrishnan informed the Parliament.

Rs.50,000-cr port projects in pipeline
The Shipping Ministry is overseeing 33 projects worth Rs.32,000 crore, while 45 projects with an investment of around Rs.18,414 crore are under operation, Parliament was informed in late February.
