Aruna Sundarajan has taken over as the new Bharat Broadband Network (BBNL) chief. Sundarajan previously worked with the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation as a managing director. In her current role, she is responsible for accelerating the rollout of the Rs 21,000-crore national optic fibre network (NOFN) that envisages connecting 250,000 gram panchayats or village blocks across India via broadband.
