The Airport Authority of India (AAI), which has planned to spend Rs 100 crore in the first phase of Kolhapur airport expansion, has decided to send a proposal to the forest department for handing over 11 hectare land owned by the latter, MP Dhananjay Mahadik said. The forest department has already received 33 hectare land in Shahuwadi tehsil as compensation to the land it is handing over to the AAI.
