India´s biggest private port operator Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) opened a new 20 million tonne dry bulk terminal at Tuna Tekra. APSEZ, the operator of three facilities at Mumndra, Hazira, and Dahej -and one at Mormugao in Goa, won the Tuna Tekra contract in June 2012. The terminal consists of T-shaped jetty with four bulk berths and a draught of 16.2m having the capacity of handling ships of 1,00,000 DWT.
