Even as free joyrides are being extended to Nagpurites on the 5-kilometre stretch from the Airport South to Khapri on the Nagpur metro rail before its formal inauguration, the federal government has plans to extend the service to the cityÂ’s outskirts using the existing broad-gauge railway tracks.

Simplex Infra has bagged orders worth Rs 25.95 billion in the fourth quarter from January to MarchÂ’18. With this the total order inflow during FY18 amounts to Rs 76.66 billion. The new orders have emanated 87 per cent from public sector and 13 per cent from private sector, 98 per cent from domestic territories and 2 per cent from abroad.
