Adani Ports standalone net profit dips by 13.48percent in Q2FY17
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) reported a 13.48 per cent drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2016. Its net profit stood at Rs 916.67 crore in Q2FY17 as against Rs 1,059.51 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
India signs agreement with World Bank for Eastern DFC
A Guarantee Agreement for World Bank (IBRD) lending of $650 million to the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL) for the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor-III (EDFC-III) Project has been signed between the Government of India and the World Bank in the national capital.
GMR Airports to develop GoaÂ’s greenfield Mopa airport
GMR Airports Limited (GAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited, has won the international competitive bid for development and operation of Mopa Greenfield Airport in north Goa. The concession period for the greenfield project will be 40 years with a possible extension of another 20 years through a bid process. The airport will be built under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model.
HDFC raises Rs 500 crore via masala bonds
Mortgage lender HDFC has said that it has raised Rs 500 crore through rupee-denominated bonds from overseas investors. “The corporation has completed the fourth issue of rupee denominated-bonds to overseas investors of issue size Rs 500 crore,” HDFC said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
Cargo traffic at Major Ports grows by 5.2percent
Major Ports in India handled 315.4 MT of cargo during the first six months of FY2016-17 (April-September) and showed a positive growth of 5.1 per cent as compared to the same period last year. The cargo traffic handled by the Major Ports during the same period last year was 299.5 MT. This improvement of performance is the result of many measures initiated by the Ministry of Shipping to improve the performance of the ports.
