Govt to launch IPDS at Rs 500 cr in 12th Plan
During the 12th Five Year Plan, the Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the launching of a new Integrated Processing Development Scheme (IPDS) with a total cost of Rs 500 crore and to establish four to six brown field projects and three to five green field projects addressing the environmental issues faced by textile processing units.

Petrol price drops by Rs 1.15 a litre
On the eve of Diwali, petrol is cheaper by Rs 1.38 per litre from November 1, but diesel is costlier by 56 paise per litre in Delhi. The fuel price variation is because of strengthening of the rupee against the dollar and softer international gasoline rates. This is the second time that petrol prices have fallen in a month, giving consumers a breather.

For the quarter ended 30 September, Essar Ports on October 31 reported a 21 per cent more in net profit as it won more business from affiliates. Profit after tax rose to Rs 97.5 crore in the quarter from Rs 80.5 crore in the year-ago period.

Nod to 4-laning of A’bad-Yedeshi h’way at Rs 2,406.63 cr
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved four-laning of the Aurangabad-Yedeshi section of National Highway-211 in Maharashtra. The road work will be taken up under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase IV on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT-Annuity) in Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) pattern.
