Foundation for widening work on road leading from Jandiali to Kohara in Punjab was laid by the State PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon on April 11. This road will serve as a bypass to the people of Dhanansu, Bhudewal, Mehlon and Paharuwal, and their distance to Sahnewal town will be cut short by several kilometres. A total of Rs 2 crore will be spent on this bypass road and it will be completed in three months.

CM gives nod for flyover at Gurgaon’s Rana Pratap Chowk

Flyover helps bridge missing link in Mumbai
A 700-metre stretch passing below the Orange Gate-Wadala flyover part of Freeway through the Sewrisaltpan land will be the missing link between the Sewri-Wadala-Chembur road and Port or Mahul road. MMRDA sources said that this is the missing link which passes below the flyover's (between Orange Gate and Wadala) Wadala end up to Port road. Elevated road may decongest Delhi’s road
To decongest various arterial roads in south Delhi and cut down travel time, the Delhi government has decided to construct an elevated road to connect Chhatarpur with INA market. For this, the government is to carry out a feasibility study soon. The Delhi PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chouhan said the government has started the process of appointing a consultant to prepare the feasibility report for the project.

Rs 5,000 cr to convert AP roads into National Highways
The Union government on April 9 stated that it would invest Rs 5,000 crore towards conversion of 10,000 km of state roads into National Highways over the next three-five years. Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Sarvey Sathyanarayana said in Delhi that the Centre is to spend about Rs 5,000 crore in a phased manner and will complete 10,000 km National Highways in Andhra Pradesh in the next 3-5 years.
