Gamesa wins 100-MW wind power project from Hero Group
Renewable energy firm Gamesa has bagged a 100-MW wind power project from Hero Group to set up 50 wind turbines in Madhya Pradesh. The order was placed by Hero Future Energies, a venture of the Hero Group catering to the renewable energy, Gamesa India said in a statement.
Energy-from-waste plant to come up in Satna, MP
Madhya Pradesh Government has chalked out an action plan to generate energy from waste in Rewa and Satna Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayat. Collected waste will be disposed of scientifically. Besides, organic fertilisers will also be made using waste.
Excise exemption for parts of wind energy generators
The Central Board of Excise and Customs issued a notification clarifying that parts such as tower, nacelle, rotor, blades and wind turbine controller of wind operated electricity generators are eligible for exemption from excise duty.

The Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) would be going for installation and commissioning of a ĆāPico Hydro Power PlantĆĀ“ at Village Muttu in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. The location of the water source for the power plant had been chosen at the left flank of Sogra Nala near Mutu Village in Jashpur district.
Adani reps visited Pak to discuss 4000 MW power deal
Representatives of IndiaĆĀ“s Adani Enterprises visited Pakistan last year to discuss the sale of up to 4,000 MW of electricity but the proposal has stalled against the backdrop of heightened tensions between the two countries. PakistanĆĀ“s Power Minister Khawaja Asif told the Senate on October 13 that representatives of Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) visited the country in April 2014.
