Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) has complted widening of Salem-Ulundurpet road in Tamil Nadu and the company has begun collection of toll on the road.
Commuters can now travel on the 136 km stretch in less than two hours, which used to take over four hours earlier, Rinfra said.

A road tunnel of 1.6 km length is to be built under the Simhachalam hills in coastal Andhra Pradesh at a cost of Rs 200 crore under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Plus scheme. The tunnel would reduce traffic on NH-16 and cut a 10 km distance to 5 km from the existing 15 km between Visakhapatnam and Simhachalam temple.
