NALCO has dedicated 100.80 MW of wind power plants to the Nation. Jual Oram, Minister for Tribal Affairs and Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines, were present on the occasion at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Suzlon Group, one of the leading global renewable energy solutions provider in the world, has installed and commissioned two renewable projects of 50.40 MW each for NALCO at Gondikota in Andhra Pradesh and Jath in Maharashtra. Both the projects have the potential to provide power to over 54,000 households and reduce 0.20 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.
