NHPC completes Teesta hydro project
State-run NHPCĂÂŽs 160 MW Teesta Low Dam IV hydro project in Darjeeling has become fully operational. The 40 MW Unit-4 of the project has become commercially operational. Three units of the TLDP-IV project were commissioned on February 14, March 31 and July 1 this year.
Unit 1 of Parbati-III power station restored: NHPC
State-owned NHPC announced that Unit 1 of Parbati-III power station, which was shut down since March 28, 2015, has been restored. Located in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, the power station is a run-of-the-river scheme whose design discharge includes the diversion of the tail race releases of Parbati Stage-II Power house as well as inflows from river Sainj and Jiwa nallah.
