13 airports to become CAT-III compliant
Thirteen more airports in the country, including Amritsar, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Patna and Lucknow, will soon become CAT-III compliant, a step which will ensure seamless flight operations even during fog.

By linking all district headquarters of Bihar with the State capital Patna, the State government has registered a significant achievement. Now, from any district headquarter town in the state, it takes maximum six hours by road to reach Patna.
Expressway to be completed 6 months early: NEC
Work on the Loknayak Ganga Path or Digha-Deedarganj high-speed corridor in Patna will begin within two months and finish the same within three-and-a-half years, six months before the deadline, said the Navayuga Engineering Company (NEC) that has bagged the expressway contract. The contract amount is Rs 1,777.73 crore.
BSRDC awards AIIMS-Digha road project to Gammon
In Patna, once the 12 km-long AIIMS-Digha corridor completed, the road will provide much relief from the traffic congestion in the city, particularly on the narrow Ashok Rajpath as it would be connected with the Ganga Path at Digha end.
Casting inaugurated for Rs 2,400 cr bridge in Patna
In Patna, inauguration of the casting for 4.5-km-long rail-cum-road bridge at Digha was fulfilled by ECR GM Madhuresh Kumar at the bridge site in the city September 14. Railways has completed the launching of 22nd span of 123 metre girder of the rail-cum-road bridge so far. This bridge will have 9.075 metre carriageway width of road and 1.5 metre wide pathway on either side.

The assistance was sought during a meeting of World Bank country Director in India Oano Ruhul with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, an official release said. RITES to prepare reports for metro rail project

Small lights to connect Varanasi with 3 Bihar cities
A private operator SkyFisher Airways, for the fist time, will soon operate small flights from Varanasi to three cities in Bihar. The service will start either by the end of this month or the first week of June. The 12-seater aircraft would make to and fro flights connecting Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Varanasi in its first phase, officials concerned said.
