Nashik’s roads are going to be repaired. The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has accelerated 19 road works across the city to be ready for the monsoon which is more than three months away. Bids have been invited to undertake various roads works amounting to Rs 14 crore. The work includes widening, resurfacing, tarring and macadamisation.

The civic body is unable carry out road works between June and September. Hence it is focusing on carrying out maximum road works before the rainy season begins. NMC is inviting tenders for various road works, said a senior engineer of the NMC’s Public Works Department.

The major road works includes the Development Plan (DP) roads with widths of 30 metre and 12 metre from Pimpalpatti Road to the road passing throughout Bhairavnath Nagar in prabhag no. 33 of Nashik Road division. They are to be developed at the cost of Rs. 2.68 crore.
