The Uttar Pradesh government on March 14 told the UP assembly that it has sought fresh agreement from Jai Prakash Associates for the construction of Ganga Express Highway between Ballia and Noida. However, the government refused to specify whether it was keen to pursue the project, which was initiated by the previous Mayawati government.
