Experts call for mechanism to rework PPP contracts
International experts on public-private partnerships (PPP) projects suggest the government to devise mechanisms to permit contract renegotiations during the term of the concession. Noida farmers agree to give land for 8-lane link road
Greater Noida Authority has said that farmers of Devla and Khodna Khurd villages have agreed to part with their land for the eight-lane Noida-Greater Noida link road. The Authority said that the 130 m link road will be ready by July. The Authority will soon begin taking over the land whose acquisition was quashed by Allahabad high court on October 21, 2011.

NHAI loses Rs 874 cr on project delays: CAG
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has incurred a loss of around Rs 873.85 crore due to delay in completion of port road connectivity (PRC) projects. This was stated by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and it observed this while reviewing the operations of special purpose vehicles (SPVs) formed for implementation of PRC projects that connect major ports.
Six-laning of Gurgaon-Kotputli stretch on NH-8 delayed
The Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Sarvey Sathyanarayana has said that the six-laning work on Gurgaon-Kotputli stretch on National Highway No 8 has been delayed. The main reasons for delay are due to slow progress during construction by Concessionaire, delay in the land acquisition, delay in Forest Clearance, delay in removal of religious and other structures & additional works in the project scope owing to public representations etc.
