The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industries has given its approval for setting up a cargo terminal at Imphal airport. The Central Ministry has also sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the cargo terminal project. The Union Government and the Manipur government would be taking up the responsibility of constructing the cargo terminal. To start the construction process, the required land has to be registered under the name of the department.
