Govt to pace up Delhi-Jaipur expressway
The Union government is looking at two options to make the Delhi-Jaipur expressway as a viable project. The Union highways ministry may either allow the developer to collect the toll from the adjacent Delhi-Gurgaon and Gurgaon-Jaipur highway stretches or, the expressway could also be built via the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) route, using funding from multilateral agencies, if necessary.
Govt urged to declare coastal shipping policy
The Union government has been urged to increase shipping around coastal area and enable hassle-free multi-modal transport. The requisition has been made by industry body Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham) and Yes Bank.
Govt clears Rs 916 cr worth FDI proposals
The Union Finance Ministry has said that the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) has cleared 20 proposals worth Rs 915.83 crore. FIPB cleared the proposals on October 24, the Ministry said.
